Student Leadership

Residence Hall Association

The Residence Hall Association (RHA) is a programming and advocacy organization here on campus. We promote unity and a positive residence hall experience through programming and activities. Each residence hall has its own hall council (except where Evergreen Village and Southwood Hall come together to form the “Everwood” hall council) in which any residential student can participate.

Programs include the annual Bed Race at Family and Friends Weekend, Grand Gala (Cohosted with Campus Activities Board), RHA Bingo, RHA Trick or Treat (for the Springfield community), and Grilled Cheese Night during finals.

To learn more about the Residence Hall Association visit their office on the first floor of the Campus Center, call them at 413-782-1579 or email them at rha@wne.edu.

The National Residence Hall Honorary

The National Residence Hall Honorary (NRHH) is the premiere honorary supported by the leading international organization advocating for the interests and welfare of residence hall students, while also providing opportunities for their personal growth and development. NRHH strives to provide recognition for individuals who have contributed to the advancement of college and university housing. It ensures the advancement of member chapters through resource sharing, programming, and leadership development opportunities to contribute and support the vision of the National Association of College and University Residence Halls, Incorporated.

The Western New England University Maureen Keizer Chapter of NRHH sponsors many events on campus including the annual Holiday Giving Globe campaign and the OTMmys. The chapter also recognizes and promotes exemplary student leaders, their leadership, and their service across the campus and in the greater Springfield community via the regionally and nationally recognized “Of The Month” awards.

If you are an actively involved or an up and coming student leader who would like to further develop their leadership abilities, please apply! If you know of someone who is actively involved or an up and coming leader, please share the link with them.
