Western New England University’s (WNE) College of Business will be presenting The Future of Work Week from March 7-11, 2022. Daily virtual webinar discussions on the future of work will include business leaders, working professionals, and College of Business faculty experts.

“As the business world continues to reinvent itself in response to an ambiguous and rapidly changing environment, the way we work has changed forever. Employees and employers of the future will face challenging issues including those related to how we work, where and when we will work, and what skillsets and mindsets will be needed to create a high performing workforce,” says WNE College of Business Dean Sharianne Walker.

There clearly is no one-size fits all approach to the transformation of work. As thought leaders on the Future of Work, the College of Business faculty and students are acknowledging, analyzing, and researching different issues and approaches.

“We need to be developing and talking about industry specific considerations to creating a high performing workforce,” says Walker. “Our Future of Work week does just that by highlighting speakers from various industry sectors who offer disciplinary knowledge and perspectives on the future of work. As part of our University commitment to providing powerful preparation for the future of work, our College of Business is proud to take a leadership role in facilitating the discussion of this important topic.”

Topics will include strategies for and challenges of remote work, creating high performing virtual teams, and industry-specific approaches to the future of work.
