In celebration of the Class of 2021, Western New England University will hold its 2021 Undergraduate Commencement Ceremony at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 15. The themed event entitled "The Future is Ours, Let's Make it Golden" will be a high quality, high spirited virtual ceremony connecting graduates and their families as they watch from home.

This year's featured speaker will be graduating senior Autumn Kelly. Autumn hails from Princeton, MA and is graduating with a major in Computer Engineering. In her remarks to the graduating class she compares life to the Crooked Arrow that is reflected in her Native American heritage.

Throughout her college experience, Autumn has been actively engaged in many ways both at the University and in the community. She has served as a Peer Advisor, taking roles as the Community Building Chair and Steering Committee; and participated as a member of the Resident Hall Association.

Autumn has also found success in entrepreneurship. Autumn was part of the team that developed a device that could be attached to a fire helmet to detect a firefighter's health vitals. The team was awarded the $500 Innovation Jam award at the Draper Competition for Collegiate Women Entrepreneurs and were named Best Exhibitors at the Grinspoon Entrepreneurship Initiative Annual Banquet.

Autumn currently serves as an ambassador to her hometown for the nonprofit organization, Project 351, which seeks to develop the next generation of community-first service leaders. In this capacity she is part of the Alumni Leadership Council and leads the Medical Team with her father and sister.
